Optis at Pumpkin Bowl!
Pumpkin Bowl was the last BC Sailing Circuit event of the year, and was hosted at WVYC. We had stellar weather and fantastic volunteers. Our sailors had some fabulous races, and many of our sailors placed in the top-10 in their fleets (impressive in the 50-boat opti fleet!). Jack won the overall optis, and was followed by Edward in 3rd place in blue fleet. Ciaran was 5th place in red. Also racing in red fleet were Ryan and Cisco. Sailing in the blue fleet were Alec, Andrew, Kevin, Emily, Sierra and Mountain, and Diego raced in white. Other highlights include Sierra’s 13th place race, her best race ever, and Diego leading the fleet off the start in one race! On the green fleet course, Ben coached 3 of our newest sailors: Nelson, Rohan and Kavi. All 3 of these sailors had excellent races and are looking forward to more racing in the spring!
