The NSST sailors had an excellent week in San Fran. The first day of the regatta was windy! We had gusts of 30 knots, and everyone spent a lot of time bailing. It was a tough day. The next 2 days were a little lighter, with about 22 knots on Saturday and 15 on Sunday. It's called the Heavy Weather Regatta for a reason!
I was very impressed with how well all the sailors did, and how much they improved throughout the week. The conditions were challenging and they were racing against some of the best sailors in North America. There were some solid top 20 results, and some brilliant moments from all the sailors.
We all had a lot of fun, and thanks to all the parents too. We're looking forward to going back next year!
